Troy Pig Out

Saturday, July 16 from 10:00am to 9:00pm.

The 9th annual Troy Pig Out challenged barbeque masters from across the Northeast to duke it out for the top prize in the categories of: Best Pulled Pork, Best BBQ Chicken, Best Pork Rib, Best Beef Brisket, Grand Champion, Dinosaur Bar-B-Que People’s Choice Pork Rib contest, Mayor’s Choice, and more.

The Troy Pig Out is an official Empire State competition sanctioned by New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo, citing New York pride in its place as the site of events that highlight the state and its tradition of excellence in offering unique foods and specialty dishes often based upon tried and true recipes that have endured through the generations.

Curtis Lumber’s PetAPalooza, Ballston Spa NY, June 18

Save the date, 18 June, for the largest one day adoption event in New York and Vermont, the link is below.  I have signed up NEBTR for the event, which I shall coordinate.  This is an ideal opportunity for outreach, spreading the word about NEBTR and what we do, fundraising, and adoptions.  The main event will be held in Ballston Spa, NY, right near Saratoga if you have a yen to make it a long weekend by visiting the Spa city.  And Saratoga is dog friendly, water bowls on the street, dogs welcomed into most stores, they might even get treats!

Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue (NEBTR) is comprised of volunteers based in NY, NJ, PA, CT and DE and serves Boston Terriers in need within reach of our helping hands. Most dogs in foster care for placement are adolescent to adult dogs in need of re-homing in life for a multitude of reasons and will need caring hands to guide them as they transition into new homes. All of our rescue dogs are fostered and evaluated for a 2 week minimum to allow us to assess their personality and provide them with basic foundation skills - House/Crate training, basic manners - to ease their transition into new homes. It is our belief such work in foster care better prepares dogs for success and helps forms lasting bonds.
