PB&J Collar Fundraiser

PB&J are so very honored and proud to present this fundraiser collar for Gizmo with Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue. $10 from the sale of every collar will go to NEBTR to help with the care for this very special little girl.  You can order it at

Gizmo is a tiny 12 pound red Boston that was surrendered to NEBTR after being attacked by another dog. She needed eye surgery and subsequently had to have one eye removed and lost sight in the other. Her surgery and follow up care are estimated at $2500, and they have a youcaring site set up for her as well.

NEBTR Wins 2014 Manhattan Award

Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue has been selected for the 2014 Best of Manhattan Award in the Animal Rescue Service category by the Manhattan Award Program. This is due in no small part to the efforts and talents of
Ellen Thelin, Stacie Kyle, Melissa McGinn, and Katherine DeCotiis. These four women have worked hard at NEBTR public relations, and are deserving of our recognition in receiving this award. This is the second year in a row that we have won this award.

Each year, the Manhattan Award Program identifies entities and businesses that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that
enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community. These exceptional companies help make the Manhattan area a great place to live, work, and play.

Northeast Boston Rescue (NEBTR) is comprised of volunteers based in NY/NJ and PA and serves Boston Terriers in need within reach of our helping hands. Most dogs in foster care for placement are adolescent to adult dogs in need of re-homing in life for a multitude of reasons and will need caring hands to guide them as they transition into new homes. All of our rescue dogs are fostered and evaluated for a 2 week minimum to allow us to assess their personality and provide them with basic foundation skills - House/Crate training, basic manners - to ease their transition into new homes. It is our belief such work in foster care better prepares dogs for success and helps forms lasting bonds.
