Help Us Help Them

We are asking for your help to meet our goal of $15,000. Vetting fees for our rescue dogs have skyrocketed over the last few years. Our average spend per dog has become over $1,000. This year we have rescued over 100 dogs, from puppymills, shelters and owner surrenders.

In just the last few months alone, we have had extraordinary vetting bills:

-Pippin, a five-month-old puppymill survivor has an infection in his spine, probably from a dog bite, requiring months of treatment that is already exceeding $4500.

-Bradley, also a mill survivor came to us with a jaw broken in multiple places. He required surgery from a special canine dental surgeon and months of care. Now Bradley is having seizures and will require an MRI. His previous treatment costs exceeded $5000, and the upcoming MRI and treatment will nearly match that amount.

-Ruby, who needed an eye removal, mammary tumors and an amputation due to an aggressive mast cell tumor. Her leg amputation alone cost $4300.

-In addition, we have thirty dogs in our Forever Foster program. These are dogs that can never be adopted due to ongoing cost-prohibitive illness, age or behavioral issues.  We have committed to care for them for the rest of their lives.

We are all volunteers, and every dollar goes toward the veterinary needs of the dogs in our care. We are only able to do what we do with your generous help, support and donations.
