She writes, “My philosophy is a simple one: to help humans communicate better with their dogs and have more fulfilling relationships. A soon as we begin to communicate clearly, our dogs respond accordingly. Most of us already have the skills, we just don’t know it. In considering this, I look for the similarities more than the differences in our two species and use them to mutual advantage. It’s no coincidence that the dog has been our closest companion for thousands of years; on an instinctual level we have many parallels, both being a social species.”

Madison’s Mission

Kindness brings warmth on a wintry day.

On November 01, 2010 due to illness, I lost my sweet Boston Terrier, Madison Hunter. In 2012 Madison’s Mission was established in her memory. One of the goals of Madison’s Mission is to help Boston Terriers needing health and behavioral care as well as the needs of those being placed in foster care.

Madison’s Mission chooses to assist Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue (NEBTR) with their financial needs. For a multitude of reasons, NEBTR takes dogs into foster care for re-homing. Their caring hands guide the dogs into new homes where they receive love, attention, health and behavioral care. This may be for the first time in the dog’s life.

The Mona Pants Foundation

In Memory of Peaches

Peaches found her forever home with Sylvia Roth when she was about 10, and Peaches lived the last five years of her life in Sylvia’s wonderful care. Sadly, Peaches recently crossed the rainbow bridge, suffering from a tumor behind her eyes.

Peaches was beloved by Sylvia, and Sylvia’s daughter Anna Hays has made a donation to the NEBTR in Peaches’ memory. What a wonderful tribute to a loyal and loving pair
