Everyone pays monthly for electricity. Now, when you pay your electric bill, NEBTR will have a recurring income. Go to this website, sign up to receive energy through Stream Energy, and help care for our Bostons.  It’s something we all need and you can help NEBTR who will receive a contribution each month from your electric bill.

By simply switching who you buy your electricity from you can provide support for NEBTR. Each time you pay your electric bill, NEBTR will earn $4.   Imagine if 200 people signed up.It’s a win/win for all!

In Memory of Ellie Mae

Ellie Mae was adopted from NEBTR in 2011 by Sherry Florentino.  Sadly, she went to the bridge on January 14, 2014 as the result of a heart condition.  Thanks to Nicole Florentino for the very generous gift to NEBTR in her memory.

NEBTR Awarded Animal Rescue Service Award

Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue has been selected for the 2013 Best of Manhattan Award in the Animal Rescue Service category by the Manhattan Award Program.

Each year, the Manhattan Award Program identifies entities and businesses that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the Manhattan area a great place to live, work and play.

Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2013 Manhattan Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the Manhattan Award Program and data provided by third parties.

The Manhattan Award Program is an annual awards program honoring the achievements and accomplishments of local entities and businesses throughout the Manhattan area. Recognition is given to those companies that have shown the ability to use their best practices and implemented programs to generate competitive advantages and long-term value

Thanks to Nature’s Variety

NEBTR would like to give a very special thank you to Nature’s Variety – a small, independent pet food company in the midwest. Nature’s Variety is dedicated to proper, holistic nutrition for pets and they just gave a very generous donation of their dog food to NEBTR for our foster dogs!
Our rescues need a healthy diet just as much as they need love and shelter.

Thanks Nature’s Variety! Our partner in rescue!

Pets Luv

For the past year, I have been creating illustrations of every breed of dog. I research each breed and then I create the illustration to showcase the traits of the breed.
Many examples are at and here is a Boston Terrier illustration.
Each is $20 plus $3 for shipping.
If any of your supporters are interested in an illustration, I would donate 20% back to your group. All they have to do is send me a note at and I will send you the funds to help out with the rescue’s expenses. As a rescue owner myself, I appreciate the hard work that rescue organizations do.

Northeast Boston Terrier Rescue (NEBTR) is comprised of volunteers based in NY, NJ, PA, CT and DE and serves Boston Terriers in need within reach of our helping hands. Most dogs in foster care for placement are adolescent to adult dogs in need of re-homing in life for a multitude of reasons and will need caring hands to guide them as they transition into new homes. All of our rescue dogs are fostered and evaluated for a 2 week minimum to allow us to assess their personality and provide them with basic foundation skills - House/Crate training, basic manners - to ease their transition into new homes. It is our belief such work in foster care better prepares dogs for success and helps forms lasting bonds.
